After working in crop science on the physiological mechanism, I worked on the methods for designing ”pesticides free crop management” in oilseed rape. I experimented a regional diagnosis on organic winter oilseed rape. This work permitted to design some protoypes of “crop management”, that have been tested on farmers’ fields. I then built a crop-pest model named “OMEGAsys” aiming at designing new strategies allowing to reach high yield, few pesticides utilisation against disease and weeds and low losses of nitrates through environment.

Since 2008, I have worked on the effects of crop practices and landscape organisation of natural habitats and crop management on insects’ development and nuisibility in a winter oilseed rape’s field. Since 2011, I am working also on the functionning and the management of mixing crop in ordre to desgign cropping systems based on agro-ecology principles and specially on the effect of crop mixture on competition on weeds. With an ecology scientist we built a tool based on traits-function services concept to determine the best cover plant to permit several ecosystem services (regulation, production and Nitrogen recycling)
